Know when somebody answers you in the community
Replies to what you wrote appear in the bell at the top of the community. Likes can too, if you turn them on.
The community has its own bell, at the top of every community page. When somebody replies to your post or to one of your replies, it appears there. Community notifications appear only in that bell, not in the app's.
- Select the bell at the top of the community to open Notifications.
- Select a notification to go to the post.
- Select Mark all read to clear the red number.
Choose what you hear about
In the community's bell, select the gear beside Notifications to open Community Notifications. Replies is on until you turn it off, and Likes is off until you turn it on. Your choice saves right away.
Block a teacher
To stop seeing a teacher's posts and replies, select the three dots on one of them, then Block with their name. They aren't told. At the bottom of Community Notifications, select Block list to see everyone you've blocked in the community, and Unblock beside a name to see what they write again.
Good to know
The community's list is separate from the app's. Blocking someone here doesn't stop them messaging you in Staff Chat, and blocking someone in Staff Chat doesn't hide their posts here. See Choose which notifications you get.
