Create a class roster
Add a class roster with your students' names once, and use it in every planner you own. Type the names or upload a spreadsheet.
A roster is a named list of students, such as a class or a reading group. Your rosters belong to your account, so every planner you own uses the same ones.
Open the Roster Manager
When you set up a new planner, the Roster step asks for your rosters (select Skip for now to add them later). Any time after that:
- Open a planner and select Settings at the top (on a phone, the sliders button).
- Under Class Rosters, select Manage rosters. The Roster Manager opens.
Add a roster and its students
- Select New roster at the top. If you have no rosters yet, the window opens on a new one.
- Type the roster's name where it says Roster name, for example Period 3. A roster you don't name is called Roster 1.
- Type a student's name where it says Add a student name, then press Enter or select Add. Repeat for each student.
- Select Save changes in the bar at the bottom of the window. The bar appears once you change something.
Tip
Have your class list in a spreadsheet? Select Upload a spreadsheet instead of typing: see Add students from a spreadsheet.
Good to know
A name that's already on that roster isn't added twice. The number beside a roster's name is how many students it has, and the arrow beside it hides or shows the names.
