A share link isn't working
What the messages on a share link mean, for the person opening it and for the teacher who shared it, and how to fix each one.
If you opened the link
- This link has expired: it had a time limit that has passed. Ask whoever sent it for a fresh link.
- This link isn't available: it was turned off, or the file was deleted. Ask the person to share it again.
- This link is not available right now. Please contact the person who shared it. This appears when you select Download and the files can't be downloaded at the moment. Let the person who shared it know.
- This folder is too big to download as one zip. Open the folder and download the files one at a time.
If you shared the link
Open Shared links in your Filing Cabinet to see the link's status, then:
- Expired: open Share on the item and pick a new expiry or Never. The same link works again.
- Disabled: select Turn on.
- File deleted: if it's in Recently Deleted, restore it and the link works again.
- Live, but downloads don't work: check that your One Stop Teacher Planner or storage plan is still active. Your links only work while you have one.
