Read, search, print and download a resource
A resource shows two pages on a computer, or one page on a phone held upright. Search its words, change its layout in Settings, and use Download / Print.
Open and read
- In your Library, select the resource's card.
- On a computer it opens on a two-page spread, with page 1 on the left. A resource with only one page, or a last page with nothing beside it, shows on its own. On a phone held upright it shows one page at a time.
- Select Next and Previous under the pages to turn them.
- To go back, select the X at the top left.
It opens where you left it on each device. The bar under it shows the page's name, if it has one, and its place, such as 3 / 11.
Search
Select Search at the top (on a phone, the magnifying glass) and type. Each result shows the words around the match. Select one to turn to that page.
Good to know
Some PDF resources can't be searched, because the file holds pictures of the words rather than the words themselves.
Settings
Select Settings (on a phone, the sliders button). You can change the resource's Name and its Page Layout: Auto, Two-page spread or Single page. A resource you can write on also has Default font, the font new text boxes start in. Select Done when you're finished.
Download and print
- Select Download / Print at the top (on a phone, the share button).
- In Download or print, select Download PDF or Print.
- A PDF resource gives you the original PDF file, always the whole thing. Print opens it in your browser's or computer's PDF viewer, where you print it.
- A resource you can write on comes with everything you added, and only its own pages. Choose All pages or This page first.
Tip
Does Print do nothing? Your browser may have blocked the new tab. See My browser blocked a pop-up.
