Open a file someone shared with a link
Open the link in any browser to view and download the file or folder. You don't need an account, and recordings play right on the page.
When a teacher shares a file or folder from their Filing Cabinet, you get a link. Open it in any web browser. You don't need an account or the app.
A single file
The page shows who shared it, the file's name and size, and a Download button. A video or audio recording plays right on the page.
A folder
- The folder appears as one row. Select its name to look inside, one folder at a time. The path at the top, starting with Shared with you, takes you back up.
- Download on a folder's row downloads everything in it as one zip file. A folder with more than 300 files, or more than 250 MB, is too big for one zip: open it and download the files one by one.
- Download on a file's row downloads just that file.
If you have your own account, you can also keep a copy: see Save a shared file to your own Filing Cabinet.
Good to know
If the page says This link has expired or This link isn't available, ask the person who shared it for a new link. See A share link isn't working.
