Share a file or folder with a link
Make a link to any file or folder in your Filing Cabinet, then copy it or email it. Anyone with the link can view and download it.
- In the Filing Cabinet, select ⋮ on the file or folder, then Share.
- The link is made straight away. Select Copy, then paste the link into an email, a message or your class page.
- Or, under Email this link, type an email address and select Send. That person gets one email with the link.
Anyone who has the link can open and download the file, without an account. A folder link shows everything in the folder, including files you add to it later, and the folders inside it.
While a link works, the file or folder shows a small share badge in your Filing Cabinet. Opening Share again shows the same link: each file or folder has just one.
Good to know
There's no password, so anyone the link reaches can open it. Share only files you're happy for anyone with the link to see, and turn the link off when it's no longer needed. The page they see names you as the person who shared it (or shows the start of your email address if your account has no name).
