Post on the bulletin board in Staff Chat
Each channel has a bulletin board for announcements that shouldn't scroll away. Admins and board posters post, and everyone can like a post.
Select Bulletin Board at the top of a channel to turn the chat over to its board. Back to Chat turns it back.
Who can post
- A server's admins post on every board, and only they post on #general's.
- A board poster posts on the boards of the grades and subjects they teach.
- Everyone can read a board they can open and like its posts.
Post an announcement
- Open the board and select New Announcement.
- Type a Title and a Message, and pick a Note color.
- If it should stop being new after a while, set Expires on. After that day it moves to Expired Announcements, where it can still be searched.
- Tick Pin to top of board to keep it first, then select Post Announcement.
An announcement on #general's board reaches everybody's bell, and their inbox if they get email notifications. One on a grade's or a subject's board reaches the admins and the teachers of that grade or subject. Editing a post and selecting Save & Renotify tells them all again.
