Rename, reorder or delete a tab
Rename a section you made, drag tabs into your own order, or delete a section along with everything in it.
All three happen in edit mode. Select Edit, then select the tab you want to change. The three dots on that tab open its menu.
Rename a tab
- Select the three dots on the tab, then Rename….
- Type the new name, up to 24 characters, and press Enter. Press Esc to cancel.
Only sections you made yourself can be renamed. See why you can't rename a tab.
Put tabs in your own order
Press and drag a tab left or right, then let go. Cover and Planner always stay first, and a tab stops at the first and last of your other tabs. Dragging doesn't scroll the tabs for you, so if the spot you want is out of sight, scroll the tabs first.
Delete a tab
- Select the three dots on the tab, then Delete from planner.
- Read the message, then select Delete tab.
Before you do this
Deleting a tab deletes every page in it, and everything on those pages: your writing, pictures, stickers and drawings. It can't be undone. Adding the section again later gives you a fresh copy of its design, not what was there before.
Tip
To keep some of a tab's pages, copy them into another tab before you delete it: in Manage pages…, choose Duplicate to… on each page you want. See duplicate a page.
Good to know
On a shared planner, people with Can edit can do all of this too, and the change is the same for everyone.
