Why is there a Collaborator Files folder in my Filing Cabinet?
When someone who can edit your planner attaches their own file, a copy is saved in your Filing Cabinet, in a folder named after that planner.
When you share a planner with someone who Can edit, they can attach their own files to its pages. So the files stay with your planner, a copy of each one is saved in your Filing Cabinet, in a folder named after the planner, such as Collaborator Files [Room 12 Planner].
- These files count toward your storage.
- The folder's name is in your language, whoever attached the file.
- You can move the folder anywhere and new attachments still find it. If you rename it, the next attachment puts the planner's name back.
- If you delete the folder, the next attachment makes a new one.
- Your collaborators never see the rest of your Filing Cabinet, only the files on that planner.
Stop collaborators from adding files
- Open the planner and select Share / Export (on a phone, the share button at the top).
- Open Sharing permissions.
- Turn off Editors can add file attachments.
Files that were already attached stay where they are.
