My Mac says to move the app to the Applications folder
The Mac app can only update itself from Applications. Click Move to Applications on the card, and it moves itself there.
If you see Move the app to your Applications folder, the app is running from the disk image, your Downloads folder or a temporary place your Mac chose. From there it can't update itself, so it asks to be moved.
- Click Move to Applications on that card.
- The app copies itself into Applications and opens again from there. If it's already in Applications, that copy opens instead.
Updates work from then on, and nothing you saved is affected. On a Mac that doesn't let you change Applications, the app goes in the Applications folder in your home folder instead, where it updates itself too.
Tip
If the move doesn't work, quit the app with Cmd + Q, drag One Stop Teacher Shop from the disk image into Applications yourself, and open it from there.
