Delete files and get them back
Deleted files and folders go to Recently Deleted in your Profile for 30 days, where you can restore them or delete them for good.
Delete
In the Filing Cabinet, select ⋮ on a file or folder, then Delete. A folder goes with everything in it. A message confirms it moved to Recently Deleted.
Get it back
- Open your Profile and select Recently Deleted.
- Find the file or folder. To see what's inside a deleted folder, select the arrow beside it.
- Select ⋮ on the item, then Restore.
It goes back to the folder it came from. If that folder has been deleted too, it goes back to My Files.
Delete for good
In Recently Deleted, select ⋮, then Delete Forever to remove one item, or Empty Trash to remove everything. Anything still there after 30 days is deleted for good automatically.
Before you do this
Delete Forever and Empty Trash can't be undone.
Good to know
Deleted files keep using your storage until they're deleted for good. See I deleted files, but my storage didn't go down.
