Why can't I type on this page?
Turn on Edit first. Headings printed on a page are part of its design, and a view-only share or an ended subscription also stops editing.
Check these, in order:
- You're not editing. Select Edit at the top of the planner (the pencil on a phone). Tapping a page while you're not editing may show Turn on Edit to write on this page.
- You're tapping a heading or label. Words printed on the page are part of its design and can't be typed over in the planner. Type into the page's tables, lined areas and boxes, or add a text box. On your own planner you can change the printed words in Theme Studio: see change the headings and labels printed on a page.
- Edit is greyed out on a planner someone shared with you. The owner gave you Can view. Ask them for Can edit (see view only or can edit).
- You see View Only: at the top of your own planner. Editing needs an active One Stop Teacher Planner subscription. See what happens when a subscription ends.
- Someone else is typing there. On a shared planner, a text box someone else is editing shows a message with their name. Try again when they've finished.
- It's a day on a month calendar. In edit mode, click or tap the day itself and a text box opens inside it.
