View only or can edit: what a collaborator can do
Can view lets someone read your planner. Can edit lets them write in it too. Only you can change its design or share it.
You choose one of two levels when you share, and you can change it any time.
- Can view: they can open your planner, turn pages, search it, open attached files and use the chat (unless you limit it to editors). Where Edit would be, they see a grey View only button, and Settings is greyed out for them.
- Can edit: they can do what you do in edit mode: type in the pages, add text boxes, pictures, stickers and drawings, attach files (if you allow it), and add tabs and pages. They can also rename the planner and change most of Planner settings.
Whatever their level, only you, the owner, can change the design in Theme Studio (including the words printed on pages), change the Planner language, and invite people or change their access.
Change someone's access
- Open the planner and select Share / Export.
- Under People with access, change the menu next to their name to Can view or Can edit.
It takes effect straight away. You can also change it from Manage Collaborators, which lists all your planners in one place.
