Choose a weekly layout: subjects, time blocks or rotating days

Pick a Subject, Time Block, Class Period or Rotating Day Planner. You can switch later without losing a single lesson.

There are four kinds of weekly planner. They share one grid; what changes is what the rows are and how the days are labelled.

  • Subject Planner: the rows are the subjects you teach.
  • Time Block Planner: the rows are times of day. Each row shows its start and end time, with an optional label.
  • Class Period Planner: the rows are periods, named 1st Period, 2nd Period and so on until you rename them.
  • Rotating Day Planner: the rows are blocks, and each day is marked with a rotating letter (A and B days) or number.

You choose one during setup, under What does your week look like?

Switch later

  1. Open your planner and select Theme Studio beside Edit.
  2. Turn to a weekly page and select the grid (click or tap it).
  3. Open the Properties tab. Under Structure, pick a different planner under Preset.

Switching keeps every lesson in its row; only the row names change. Each kind of planner remembers its own names, so switching back brings yours back.

Good to know

Only the planner's owner can open Theme Studio. An A/B day planner is a Rotating Day Planner marked with Letters.
