Set your school year and days off
In Planner settings, select Manage days to set your first and last day of school and mark holidays and breaks.
Each planner has its own school calendar. Days you mark off say NO SCHOOL on your weekly pages, and they are marked on your monthly calendar too.
- Open your planner and select Settings.
- Under School calendar, select Manage days.
- Set your First day of school and Last day of school. The month calendars appear once both are set.
- Mark days off: click (or tap) a day to close it, or drag across several days to close a whole break.
For holidays, pick your country under Public holidays (United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia or New Zealand). Its holidays are marked for you; select any your school works through to unmark it.
The Marked list under the calendar shows every day off. Type a name, like Winter Break, and it prints under NO SCHOOL. Days in a row are grouped, so you can name a whole break once.
Good to know
Marking a day off never deletes a lesson. Your plans stay on that day, shaded, until you move them. See Move a day's plans forward after a snow day.
Good to know
To reopen a day, click it again or select Reopen in the list. Reopening does not move any plans back.
Tip
Have your district's calendar as a PDF or photo? See Fill in days off from your district's calendar.
Good to know
This calendar belongs to this one planner, and only its owner can open it. Your first day of school can be any day your planner covers.
Tip
Setting up a new planner? Its last step, School calendar, is this same calendar, so you can mark your days off before you start.
