Why am I being asked to update or reload?
We improve the app often. A browser tab offers a reload and the desktop app offers a restart, and your work is saved either way.
We improve the app often, and these messages make sure you're using the newest version.
In a web browser
If the app has been open for a while, a card at the bottom right may say A newer version of One Stop Teacher Shop is available. Select Reload now when it suits you. Your work is saved as you go, so nothing will be lost. Later or the X hides the card until the next new version.
In the desktop app
A card at the bottom right says a new version is ready, with Restart now and Later. The update installs when you restart, and your work and sign-in are kept. See Update the desktop app.
Time to update
If the desktop app shows Time to update and won't go further, your version is too old to keep working safely. See Why does the desktop app say Time to update?.
Good to know
The app never reloads or restarts in the middle of your work. You choose when.
