Get help without leaving your planner
Select the question mark at the top right of a planner to ask a question, check whether something is down, or report a bug.
Every planner has a help button: the question mark at the top right, next to the chat button. It opens a small help window beside your planner, so you can ask a question without leaving your page. On a phone, the window fills the screen. Theme Studio has the same button, at the top right of the page beside the panel. While you set up a new planner, it's at the top right of the setup screen. Everywhere else in the app, the same help is the question mark at the top, left of the bell.
Ask a question
- Open a planner and select the question mark at the top right.
- Select Start a chat.
- Type your question in your own words and press Enter.
- Read the answer. The helper finds it in this Help Center and links the article it used: select the link to read the whole article in the window.
- Under the answer, Did that help? Select Yes or No.
If you select No, the window shows posts from the community about your question, which you can read without leaving your planner, and offers Ask in the community and Contact support. Contact support sends the whole chat to our support team, and a person replies by email to the address you sign in with. Nothing is sent until you select Send to support. You can send up to ten chats to support a day. If you tell the helper something isn't working, it checks this Help Center first. If it may be a bug, it asks whether you'd like to send a bug report: Yes opens Report a bug with a screenshot, and nothing is sent until you send it.
Good to know
The helper answers from this Help Center only. It can't see your planner or your account, and it can get things wrong: the article it links to is the one to trust.
Your earlier chats
Select Chat history on the window's first screen to see your chats, newest first. Open one to carry on where you left off. Your chats are kept with your account, so a chat you started on your phone is there on your computer too.
Is something down?
The line under the window's title says whether our systems are working. If it says Some features are having problems or We're having an outage, we already know and are working on it.
More in the window
- More options at the top right of the window opens this Help Center, the Community, Show me around (a tour of the screen you're on: see Let the app show you around) and Report a bug. The Help Center and the Community open in a new tab (in your web browser, in the desktop and phone apps), so your planner stays open.
- Report a bug and Send feedback, side by side on the window's first screen under Chat history, open the same window as F8, with a screenshot of your planner, on a phone or tablet too. Send feedback is for an idea or an opinion rather than a problem. See Report a problem with F8.
- Select the X at the top right to close the window. Your chat is still there when you open it again.
- In a planner someone shared with you, the window has no community.
