Write, draw and highlight on a page
Use the Write tool's pen, highlighter and eraser to write, circle and highlight anywhere on a page, in any color and size.
- Select Edit, then Write in the toolbar (on a phone, in the bar at the bottom). You start with the pen.
- Choose Pen, Highlighter or Eraser. On a phone the highlighter is called Highlight.
- Pick a size and a color, then draw on the page with your mouse, finger or pen.
- When you finish, select Done, next to the pens.
Everything you drew becomes one drawing that you can select, move, resize, duplicate or delete, and Done reads Select again. To pick up a drawing later, choose Select, then click or tap it. Click or tap it again to add to it: the pen comes up, and what you draw becomes part of that drawing.
- The pen, the highlighter and the eraser each keep their own size. The size list shows a dot beside each size, so you can see how thick it draws. The pen goes up to 10, the highlighter and the eraser up to 20.
- While you're drawing, Undo takes back your last stroke or your last swipe of the eraser.
- The eraser rubs out exactly what its circle passes over, including drawings you finished earlier. The circle shows under the pointer, or under your finger while you erase.
- Selecting Write again or another tool finishes your drawing too. On a phone, the round check mark at the end of the bar finishes it and closes the bar.
