Let collaborators attach files to your planner
Collaborators who can edit may attach their own files. The files are copied into your Filing Cabinet and use your storage.
When Editors can add file attachments is on, collaborators with Can edit can attach files from their own Filing Cabinet to your planner's pages. It's on unless you turn it off.
Each file they attach is copied into your Filing Cabinet, in a folder called "Collaborator Files" followed by the planner's name, and it counts toward your storage. Everyone on the planner can open it, and only you can delete it.
- Open the planner and select Share / Export.
- Open Sharing permissions.
- Switch Editors can add file attachments on or off.
When they attach, collaborators can pick a file that's already there from Files on this planner, so the same file isn't copied twice.
Good to know
If you move a file out of that folder, it's yours to keep, and the next time it's attached a fresh copy is made. If you delete the folder, a new one is made the next time someone attaches a file.
