My storage is full
When a file won't fit, the upload stops and Storage Full appears. Free up space or switch to a bigger plan, then upload again.
If a file doesn't fit in the room you have left, you'll see Storage Full with your limit, and the upload stops there. Files after it in the same batch aren't uploaded either, because they wouldn't fit.
There are two ways to make room:
- Free up space. Delete files you don't need. Then open your Profile, select Recently Deleted, and remove them for good with Delete Forever or Empty Trash. Until you do, deleted files still count.
- Get more storage. Switch to a bigger plan: see Get more storage.
Then upload the files again.
Tip
Sure you have room? An upload that stopped partway, for example because a tab was closed, can hold space for a few minutes. Try the upload again and that space is given back straight away.
Good to know
Copies count too, so copying a file or folder that won't fit shows the same message. So do files your collaborators attach to your planners, which are saved in your Filing Cabinet.
Good to know
Moved to a plan with less storage than your files use? Nothing is deleted: your files stay and still open. Your Filing Cabinet says how much to free up, and you can add files again once you're under your plan's storage.
