Put a shortcut to a file in your Library
Add a Filing Cabinet file to your Library so it sits beside your planners. Renaming or removing the shortcut never changes the file.
- In the Filing Cabinet, select ⋮ on a file.
- Select Add to Library. A message says Added to your Library.
The file appears in your Library as a card marked File Shortcut. Select the card to open the file.
From the card's ⋮ menu, you can Rename the shortcut (only the name in your Library changes, the file keeps its own) or Remove shortcut (the file stays in your Filing Cabinet).
Good to know
Folders can't be added, only files. Adding the same file again doesn't make a second card: you'll see Already in your Library. If you delete the file, its card says Missing File. Restore the file from Recently Deleted to fix it, or select the card to choose another file or remove the shortcut.
