Make folders and organize your files
Create folders in your Filing Cabinet, put folders inside folders, and move around them with the path at the top of the page.
- Open the Filing Cabinet, and open the folder you want the new folder in (or stay in My Files).
- Select New (on a phone, the round + button), then New Folder.
- Type a name where it says Folder name, then select Create.
You can put folders inside folders as deep as you like.
Getting around
- Double-click a folder to open it. On a phone, tap it twice.
- The path at the top, such as My Files › Units › Fractions, shows where you are. Select any part of it to go back there. On a phone, slide a long path sideways to see all of it.
- Selecting Filing Cabinet in the menu while you're already there takes you back to My Files.
To put files into a folder, see Move, copy and rename files. To give a folder a color or a picture, see Change a folder's color or picture.
Good to know
If a folder can't be made, you'll see Couldn't create the folder. Check your internet connection and try again.
