Open, preview and download a file
Double-click a file to preview it. Photos, PDFs, videos and recordings open right in the app, with Open in new tab and Download underneath.
- In the Filing Cabinet, double-click the file. On a phone, tap it twice.
- A window opens with a preview: a photo, a PDF you can read, or a video or recording you can play and skip through. Other kinds of files show an icon.
- Select Download to save the file to your device, or Open in new tab to open it in its own browser tab.
Select Details in the same window to see the file's Type, Location, Size and Date Added.
Good to know
A very large file, such as a long video, can be too big for a browser tab to download. If Download doesn't work for one, use Open in new tab instead: the browser then shows or plays it as it arrives.
Tip
Files you've put in your Library as shortcuts open the same way. See Put a shortcut to a file in your Library.
