Find, sort and change how your files look

Search every folder by name, sort by name, date, type or size, and switch between a grid of tiles and a list.

Search

Type in the search box at the top of the Filing Cabinet. It looks through every folder for file and folder names that match (not the words inside a file), and each result says which folder it's in. Select the X in the box to clear the search.

Sort

Select the Sort button near the search box. Under Sort by, choose Name, Last modified, File type, File extension or File size, and under Direction, Ascending or Descending. You can keep folders at the top with Folders on top, or mix them in with Mixed with files.

Files start out sorted by Last modified, newest first, with folders on top. Dragging a file never changes its place in the order.

Grid or list

The button beside the sort button switches between large tiles and a compact list.

Good to know

Your sort and view choices are remembered on the device you choose them on.
